You Can Begin Again

Read

Isaiah 43:18-19

“Remember yet not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”

Today’s Encouragement

In 2012 the Lord blessed me with the opportunity to build my first home, while still recovering from divorce the previous year. I started doubting whether I could or should even do this and questioning if God was doing this for me. I prayed about it and God said, “Yes". Though the process was long and hard, I am so very glad that I did.

Life has a way of throwing us some unexpected curve balls. As I reflect on what God has done and is doing in my life it was through those life unexpected situations that I learned to trust him even more. I have taken everything that I have experienced and everything that I have learned up until this point and used it as a foundation to begin again. Steppingstones not stumbling blocks.

Pray

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you that through you all things are made new, if only we would believe. Heal us from any residue from our past that continues to hinder us from moving forward in Jesus's Name.

Reflections

  • What have you gained through some of the things that you may have experienced?
