ABOUT ME
Treva Barnard was born in Asheville to Charles and Annie Barnard. She has three sisters and is a proud mother of three beautiful daughters. Raised in the Church of God in Christ, Treva grew up under the leadership of the late Theodore Lamont and Beverly Wells Smith, where she was trained to be a leader and minister from an early age. Her dedication to the church saw her serve as choir directress, youth department leader, youth oratorical creator, and in roles within the ministers' wives and women's ministries. She also wrote for the singles ministry newsletter and has always had a passion for supporting women and young adults.
Treva received her missionary license under Bishop Larry Shaw, Church of God in Christ Southern District of Georgia. Under his leadership, she served as the Administrative Assistant. She founded the "God's Property Purity Class" (GPCC) to teach young adults about maintaining wholeness while also engaging in community activities and building a sisterhood. With over 30 years of administrative and executive experience, she has ministered at various women's conferences and hosted her own.
While in the middle of the pandemic in 2020, Treva still had the desire to learn and grow and decided to attend Leadership School for a whole year with Dr. Matthew Stevenson III founder of All Nations Worship Assembly (ANWA) where she graduated and received her certificate of completion.
Although writing has always been a part of her, Treva discovered her true love for it during a difficult time in her life, as she blogged through her divorce. From tragedy to triumph, she now seeks to empower and inspire others to evolve into who they were created to be. Treva has been a daily devotional writer for Beloved Women and currently writes for Crossmap Blog. She is also in the process of publishing her first book. Stay tuned!
At this juncture of her life, Treva believes that anything is truly possible if you have faith and apply action as described in James 2:26. She encourages everyone to find their place to believe again!
