There were many times in my life when I found myself at a crossroads that felt more like a dead end. In my impatience and misunderstanding, I often made choices that led me further away from where I was meant to be. Sometimes, I chose the wrong partner. Other times, I turned back to what was familiar—old habits, relationships, or places that made me feel safe, yet only left me stuck in cycles of disappointment.
What I have come to realize is that the crossroads is not a place for hasty decisions. It is a sacred pause—a divine invitation to stand still, wait, and seek God’s direction. It is not about rushing into the next thing or grasping at comfort. Instead, it is a pivotal moment where we allow God to regulate our steps and position us for what’s next.
Preparation – Transition – Pivot
When we align ourselves with God’s desires and attune our hearts to the frequency of the Holy Spirit, He reveals the path forward. Here’s how we can embrace the process:
1. Preparation – Pause and Seek God’s Counsel
Before making any move, take time to be still. Seek God through prayer and allow Him to fulfill you in His presence. This is the season of alignment, where He deposits wisdom and clarity into your spirit. The world may push you to act quickly, but divine preparation requires patience.
2. Transition – Move in Obedience and in Silence
Once God gives you direction, begin to move—but do so with discernment. the unknown with faith, even when the full picture isn’t clear. It’s about trusting that God’s plan is unfolding, even when you don’t see immediate results. Every step of obedience is a step closer to His divine purpose for your life.
3. Pivot – Embracing the Shift
As you follow God’s leading, you will begin to sense a shift. Doors will close, new opportunities will arise, and your spirit will recognize the change. This is the moment of pivoting—when you no longer operate from a place of fear but from a posture of faith. Pivoting requires courage because it often means letting go of what is familiar in order to embrace what is greater.
Timing Is Everything
God’s timing is perfect. When we rush ahead, we risk missing His best. When we retreat out of fear, we delay our destiny. But when we stand firm, trust His guidance, and move when He says move, we step into the fullness of His plan.
